๐ What Does the Bible Say About Depression?
The Bible does not ignore depression. In fact, many faithful people in the Bible went through deep sadness — like David, Elijah, and even Jesus during His hardest moments. The Bible says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). This shows us that God is not far when we feel low — He is very near.
God cares about our pain. He invites us to come to Him with our worries (1 Peter 5:7) and gives us hope when we can’t see light. Through prayer, scripture, and faith, we can receive God’s peace even in dark times. The Bible never condemns a person for feeling low — instead, it offers love, comfort, and strength to carry on.

Dear Friend, You're Not Alone
You may feel like your world is falling apart, like no one understands your pain. But we want you to know this truth: God sees you. God cares. And He’s not finished with your story.
Even in the Bible, many of God’s beloved children went through deep sadness: David cried out in the Psalms. Elijah asked God to take his life. Job lost everything. But in all of these stories, one thing is clear — God never left them. He restored, healed, and lifted them.
If you are battling depression, anxiety, hopelessness, or loneliness, we want you to hear this as a personal message from Jesus Christ: You are deeply loved. You are not forgotten. And there is hope, even now.
